We grabbed the opportunity, my friend and I, to join our other dear friend for one of the best breakfasts in town at Wild Jordan Center, so we’d heard! To our advantage The Orenda Tribe had also been conducting workshops once a month at WJC and today was one of those days! Oh! I was super delighted, not only were we going to enjoy a magnificent view of old Amman, overlooking the Citadel and The Temple of Hercules as well as the giant Jordanian flag, which waves to you from a distance but we werealso going to try a hearty, wholesome and locally flavored breakfast at Wild Jordan Center!
We took my friend’s youngest son and although he might have been a tad bit too young to enjoy the workshop, he was certainly taken care of by the members of The Orenda Tribe, (on a mission of empowering children and breaking barriers through art.)
We descended to an open space, with the most picturesque backdrop. Wild Jordan Center truly is unique and has many facilities to offer, it seemed. The workshop was in progress and we were reassured that our two year wouldn’t have any problems participating. Cutting, painting and sticking took about a few good minutes, and restless little bundle of joy wanted to join the rest of us for breakfast.
So, perched up on the high chair he handpicked the homemade granola from the plate, tried some of the scrambled eggs had a yummy falafel and to top it all he loved the ‘Wild Smoothie’ with orange juice, strawberries, bananas and vanilla ice-cream! We also enjoyed the organic Italian coffee, which was also really delicious. It seems that WJC offered a wide range of choices from a wholesome seasonal menu! Check it out sometime soon!
