It’s not strange that you most likely have heard of or visited Fakhreldin, the legendary Restaurant, offering a Lebanese and Levantine cuisine, located between the first and second circles of old Amman. The reason I say this is because it has truly become a landmark with unfailing high standards in Jordan.
The perpetual achievements andexpertise claiming Fakhreldin Restaurant, as one of the leading Levantine Restaurants in the Middle East is only the icing on the cake for me!
You see, the house and its original blends of arty restoration amaze me just as well. I remember the first time I saw the house, which was originally built and owned by the late H.E. Mr. Fawzi Al-Mulki one of the Prime Ministers of Jordan during the golden era of Jordan.
I believed that its beauty and grandeur came from its grand simplicity. The details embrace you the moment you enter. The deep green cast iron majestic door, opens wide to welcome you into a magnificentrealm of hospitality and warmth. Walking under the lime stone arch, I spot the decorative and stylish upholstery, which wrap contemporary furniture at theentrance. The old fireplaces and fountains have a zest of uniqueness, with hues that bring out shades of green, blue with tints of gold and beige. The roseterracotta flooring envelops the interior of this well-known Levantine restaurant. It’s a pity this time of year I was unable to sit outside in their glorious garden, with adorning Oriental trees such the fragrant Jasmine and several bay leaf, fig, apricot and almond trees.
What a treat it is to sit in the grandeur of this bejeweled restaurant and enjoy a delightful experience.
