Kebab Express supports Palestine Youth Orchestra, July 2024

On Sunday 14th of July, Kebab Express offered lunch boxes to the members during their rehearsals for the their performances “Gaza…sacrifice and heroism” on the 15th and 16th of July at the Amman Academy. The Palestine Youth Orchestra, is one of the most important projects at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music and was founded in 2004, to bring together Palestinian youths between the ages of 14 to 25 years from all over the diaspora. 

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Ramadan and Eid Campaign with Taawon Welfare Association

 

In response to the dire situation and support of orphans in Gaza, and through Taawon, a non-profit civic organization, COO Mr. Azzam Fakhreddin handed over a percentage of revenues from AlQasr Garden, AlQasr Metropole Hotel during the month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. Due to the urgent and necessary support ATICO Fakhreldin Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to raise funds to help orphans receive means to help their health care, clothing and education. This campaign is a continuation of other campaigns carried out by ATICO Fakhreldin Group to contribute to various humanitarian issues.

 

 

 

The essence of Ramadan, and its tradition of giving back,  began as usual this year with our Human Resources Department distributing date packages to ATICO Fakhreldin Group employees. Additionally, the “Kebab Al Kheer” Iftar initiative was relaunched.

 

Kebab Express meals ordered by customers were topped by ATICO Fakhreldin Group and given to a fasting individual. It was a sequel to an ongoing Ramadan program which was welcomed by many. Iftar was held on four consecutive Mondays during the Holy month; Jabal Al Natheef Orphanage,  Jabal Al Natheef Elderly, Sana for Special Individuals organization, and King Hussien Cancer Foundation for Gaza patients.

King Hussein Cancer Foundation Collaboration with ATICO Fakhreldin Group

End of February, marked the journey of 15 years of ATICO Fakhreldin Group supporting the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. Her Highness Princess Ghida Tala, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KHCF met with COO Mr. Azzam and Ms. Abeer, Director of Communications and Social Responsibility, in appreciation of the role the company has played in supporting the underprivileged cancer patients from Gaza.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group delivers the funds from the “WE ARE ALL GAZA” campaign to the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization

In view of the difficult conditions that our people in Gaza are going through and the commitment of ATICO Fakhreldin Group to the social responsibility in these difficult times, the “كلنا غزة” ( we are all Gaza ) campaign was launched in all ATICO’s restaurants during the months of October & November, which dedicated a percentage of total revenues for aid to Gaza.

In addition, ATICO matched any personal contributions done by our valued customers with the same amount to further enhance the campaign.

The funds were handed to Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary General of The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, by ATICO Fakhreldin Group’s COO Mr Azzam Fakhreddin to purchase urgent needs for  Gaza such as tents, blankets and medical supplies.

This campaign is  a continuation to other campaigns carried out by ATICO Fakhreldin Group to contribute to various humanitarian issues and participate in community services in general.  ATICO Fakhreldin Group would like to thank everyone who contributed to this campaign, including customers who had a major and effective role in the success of this campaign.

Social Committee initiative for Gaza Cancer Patients

On Friday 24th of November and in coordination with the non-profit Rajwa Guidance and Training foundation, ATICO Fakhreldin Group Social Committee took the opportunity to extend their participation in the “Gaza on My Mind” activity. This involved providing 100 Kebab Express meals, sandwiches and drinks to cancer patients, their companions and volunteers who helped with their integration in the community. The event was a huge success with a live performance by artist Juliet.

Giving Back Ramadan 2023

The annual giving back tradition of Ramadan began this year with our Social Committee distributing date packages to all ATICO Fakhreldin Group employees. In addition and after the success of last year’s “Kebab Al Kheer” Iftar kicked off and sparked another wave of giving throughout the month.  Kebab Express meals ordered by customers were topped by ATICO Fakhreldin Group and given to a fasting individual. It was certainly a continuation of a great initiative which was supported and welcomed by many. Iftar was held on four consecutive Wednesdays during the Holy month of Ramadan. The initiative began with an Iftar for the Azzam Cancer Center parents and patients. The next week, Sana for Special Individuals organization was hosted, which serves and empowers people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Jordan. The third week, Kebab Express hosted Gaza Cancer Patients and the Cerebral Palsy School and the final week an Iftar was held for the elderly at Jabal Al Natheef.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group also prepared essential goods in boxes to be delivered to various impoverished and needy families during Ramadan and for Eid Al Fitr.

 

 

ATICO Fakhreldin Group is dedicating 2.5% of all bills in its restaurants and delivery for a whole month to support Syria during this tragic and difficult time.

The amount collected will be dedicated to buy much needed tents for our displaced Syrian brothers and sisters due to the horrific earthquake. The tents will be purchased and transferred through The Hashemite Charity Organization

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Blood Donations

On Tuesday 24th of January, 2023 and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Jordan Blood Bank, another blood donation campaign was held at the Head Quarters of ATICO Fakhreldin Group. The appeal was welcomed by over 80 team members, who queued outside the Blood Bank van, stationed at the parking lot, keen to contribute to a worthy cause, which helps reach many people who are in dire need and it does save lives.  The process was efficient and smooth making it a very successful event.

Haneen ART Exhibition 2022

The Exhibition in collaboration with Wadi Finan Art Gallery featuring exceptional pieces of Palestine and its beautiful cities by a selection of upcoming talented artists was held at newly renovated Trattoria Lounge at AlQasr Metropole Hotel. It was widely welcomed and the proceeds were recieved by PACES’ Sports for Development program, empowering children in refugee camps and marginalized areas.

Parcels, packed with essential food stuffs, were distributed to support some of its employees. While Kebab Express pledged to provide an Iftar for every “Kebab Al Kheer” Iftar ordered by customers another one was provided by ATICO Fakhreldin Group to a fasting individual. It was certainly a great initiative which was supported and welcomed by many. Iftar was distributed to King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Gaza patients, however the rest of the meals were hosted at Kebab Express in Sweifieh. The iftars were held for Al Massara Charity, G9 and G10 students with cerebral palsy, The Islamic Charitable Society, a group of elderly, Sana Organization for Special Individuals, parents and children, a number of children from various SOS Villages and last but not least The Taj Charitable Society with a group of cancer patients, children with special needs, visual impairment, kidney transplants with their families.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Provision of Food Assistance to Palestine Refugees in Gaza Strip

Driven by over 14 years of prolonged air, land and sea blockade permeated by frequent hostilities, the socio-economic circumstances in Gaza Strip continue to deteriorate. More than one million individuals rely on the UNRWA’s food assistance to meet their basic nutrition needs. The COVID-19 local outbreak has further deepened the economic strain, as many lost their livelihood means due to the extended state of public emergency. In a generous response, ATICO Fakhreldin Group – Jordan generously donated to support UNRWA emergency food operations in Gaza Strip. The donation was received in July 2021 and used for covering the cost of anequivalent of 200 individual food parcels (circa 40 families) provided during the third food distribution round in 2021.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Blood Donations

On Monday 27th of October, 2021 and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Jordan Blood Bank, a blood donation campaign was held at the Head Quarters of ATICO Fakhreldin Group. Many of the team, were quick to respond, and this time was quite different from other campaigns, as the donating platform was extended to suppliers as well.

It is always a great event, which helps reach many people who are in dire need and it does saveslives.

We are all Gaza…From Jordan to Palestine” pledge has been completed

On July 17th, Mr. Azzam Fakhreddin, COO of ATICO Fakhreldin Group handed Dr. Hussein AlShebli, the Secretary General of Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, in the presence of Mr. Naser Kilani, JHCO member of the executive committee, the payments for its June campaign “We are all Gaza”, which constituted of 2.5% of its total revenues. The payment will be distributed in Gaza during Eid Al Adha, to provide The Shifaa Hospital and The Jordanian Mobile Hospitals in Gaza with medical supplies and equipment and also creating Covid 19 PCR & vaccine centers. On 27th of July, Mr. Fakhreddin, presented Ms. Tamara Alrifai, Director of Strategic Communications, UNRWA Spokesperson and Acting Director of External Relations Division, the extra funds that were donated by our dear guests during their visits to any ATICO Fakhreldin Group outlets during June.

These funds will be dedicated to UNRWA’S food program where 1.1 million refugees in Gaza make use of food parcels, which last each refugee four months. ATICO Fakhreldin Group and UNRWA thank each and every guest for their contribution.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group launches “We are all Gaza…from Jordan to Palestine”

TAs part of its dedication to its corporate social responsibility towards Jordan and Palestine, and in response to the latest developments in Jerusalem and Gaza, ATICO Fakhreldin Group launches a campaign where by it will dedicate 2.5% of bills, in all of its restaurants, during the month of June 2021, in order to support the pressing and alarming circumstances Gaza, in particular, is going through.

All proceeds will directly go to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, in coordination with the Palestinian Red Cross to Shifaa Hospital and Jordan Mobile Hospitals in Gaza. The amount collected will be donated to buy medical equipment, medicine and to help establish COVID 19 PCR and vaccine centers.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group also hopes to encourage and facilitate a guest contribution, by adding extra donations to bills, upon their discretion. This fund will be allocated to the UNRWA program for refugee food parcels worth 15JD each, which cover a period of four months.

We hope that this campaign will pave the way for many more in the coming months, as we see the urgent need to help support the outcome of the atrocities our brothers and sisters in Palestine are facing under the discrimination of the occupation.

 

Baraketna fi 7araketna CSR Initiative, Ramadan 2020

The Baraketna fi 7araketna good will campaign ran from the first to the tenth day of Ramadan, April 2020, in partnership with CIIN magazine and OneIIOne gym. Mr. Osama Abu Al Haj, gym owner, idea was inspired by the importance of physical activity during quarantine and the holy month of Ramadan. ATICO Fakhreldin Group generously offered to donate a month’s worth of food provisions to a family of five in need, for every three physical activity contributions. The campaign encouraged participants to take a video or photo of their favorite physical exercise and post it on their Instagram page or story, tagging the sponsors of the campaign. For every three contributions, a box was donated. The campaign was indeed very successful, sparking joy in the impoverished and disadvantaged communities for the first ten days of Ramadan. With over 900 participants, ATICO Fakhreldin Group was able to distribute 300 boxes to various families in need. The charities targeted were Sana Organization for Special Needs, SOS Village and Ro’yana Charity, which services the underprivileged areas of Jerash and Gaza camp.

 

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Blood Donation Campaign, 11th November 2019

ATICO Fakhreldin Group, Social Committee, was keen to collaborate this year again, with the Blood Bank to build another blood donation campaign. Over forty team members, including top management, donated blood in a contribution to serve the community. The Blood Bank van was available between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November the 11th, in front of the main headquarters. It was a great honor to work with the Blood Bank to make this donation a great success.

 

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Vows! Towards a cleaner Jordan

The Human Resources Department at ATICO Fakhreldin Group has engaged in another great local initiative “Himmeh w Lammeh” to vow to work towards a cleaner Jordan.  The notion behind this is to have ATICO Fakhreldin Group team pledge to help keep Jordan clean, to keep the areas around the company clean, to provide proper bins and recycling bins, for all team members to discard cigarette stubs in the appropriate bins, educating the team and the customers about the importance of keeping our country clean and finally to guarantee that each team member will ask all their families to engage in this awareness movement.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group will also participate in the campaign “Clean Up Day”, held on the 28th of September, to clean up Jordan from the north to the south.

Considering Jordan is such a beautiful country and needs its citizens to understand the importance of keeping it shiny and clean. It is thus the role of every citizen to pitch in and help in preserving its beauty and to keep it litter free. It is not a secret that littering in Jordan has become a big problem and it is affecting our environment on many levels.  This initiative is brought together by a group of volunteers who firmly believe in the need for change, and have partnered with the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) to make this change.

 

ATICO FAKHRELDIN GROUP HOSTS SPECIAL ORPHAN IFTAR AT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM, AMMAN

ATICO Fakhreldin Group, held a very special charity Iftar for the orphans from Camp Al Hussien and Camp Al Mahatta at The Children’s Museum, Amman.

It was a very exciting event, which engaged the children in an exceptionally delightful time as they enjoyed the fun educational exhibits that allowed them to engage in mind joggling activities and many educational games. The children enjoyed the Iftar so much and were pleased to receive presents as well.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group 4th Wish Tree Initiative

For the fourth consecutive year and due to the great success of the previous years, ATICO Fakhreldin Group launched its famous.

“Wish Tree” at AlQasr Metropole Hotel, Fakhreldin, Ren Chai and Yoshi and Wild Jordan Center during the festive holiday season in December 2018. Each tree was filled with letters hand written by young boys and girls from the SOS Children’s Villages from Amman, Irbid and Aqaba, with their hopes and wishes. Generous customers pick an envelope and donated various amounts in order to grant the child’s hand written wish and help make a dream come true.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group’s Santa and helpers, visited each Village and handed them their gifts, with healthy meals from Kebab Express.

The ‘Wish Trees’ bought together an opportunity for ATICO Fakhreldin Group to enhance its sense of corporate social responsibility and engage its loyal customers towards a worthwhile cause. It is a strong obligation towards the community that gives it the drive to create and develop ideas to support and help various foundations.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group celebrates World Autism Awareness Day

ATICO Fakhreddin celebrates World Autism Awareness Day today, Monday April 2nd 2018, a day designated by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness about Autism and the rights of person under the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

On this occasion, ATICO Fakhreldin Group signed an agreement with Sana For Special Individuals, a non-governmental organization whose mission is to improve the lives of families of persons with intellectual challenges by facilitating services through established centers in Jordan. Through this agreement ATICO Fakhreldin Group became an annual corporate member for Sana. Mrs. Hana Shawareb deputy chairman of Sana Board of Directors added: “This is not the first time we partner with ATICO Fakhreldin Group as they were pioneers in the employment of persons with intellectual challenges through our Sana Work Program. And now, as corporate members, they have become partners in our Scholarship Program, which supports the specialized education required for children with developmental or intellectual disabilities, to enable them to become effective members in the Jordanian society.” On this globally recognized day, ATICO Fakhreldin Group outlet servers will wear a blue ribbon to show support and raise awareness about World Autism Day.

As Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at ATICO Fakhreldin Group, Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin stressed the importance of this partnership which aims to support the education of underprivileged children who fall under the autism spectrum disorder within Sana’s Scholarship program. “This is the kind of partnership that supports our corporate strategy, which focuses on raising awareness about social issues like the integration of special needs individuals into the Jordanian society through the different activities and events at ATICO Fakhreldin Group outlets”.

تشارك أتيكو مجموعة فخر الدين العالم يوم الاثنين 2-ابريل/ نيسان الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للتوعية باضطراب ذوي سمات التوحد والذي اعلنته الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة للتوعية عن هذا الاضطراب وتغير المواقف السائدة تجاهه والاعتراف بحقوق الاشخاص ذوي سمات التوحد كمواطنين.

وبهذه المناسبة فقد تم التوقيع والاتفاق مع جمعية سنا لدعم ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة – جمعية تعني بالرقي بحياة عائلات الأفراد ذوي التحديات الذهنية من خلال دعم وتسهيل خدماتهم عبر المراكز المتخصة في جميع مناطق المملكة.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group and Tkiyet Um Ali Pay it Forward initiative, February 2018

On Tuesday 6th of February, 2018 a signing ceremony took place to introduce the new Pay it Forward initiative, which was held at AlQasr Metropole Hotel, between Mr. Samer Balqar, the General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali and Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin, Corporate Social Responsibility and Communication Director of ATICO Fakhreldin Group.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group and Tkiyet Um Ali collaborate, this year, to introduce the Pay it Forward program by donating 10% of food bills when dining at Yoshi, Ren Chai, Trattoria and Vinaigrette each and every Sunday between 8pm and closing hours, starting on the 11th of February until the 28th of April 2018, which marks the International Pay it Forward Day, which is actually a global initiative that exists to make a difference by creating a huge ripple of kindness across the world. All proceeds will be given to support Tkiyet Um Ali Food For Life Program.

The objective of this joint initiative is to create a sense of virtuousness with a good deed while dining at some of ATICO Fakhreldin Group outlets. The “Pay it Forward” card intends to inspire guests to be the change they want to see in the world by passing it on and participating in any Pay it Forward act to keep a flow of kindness rolling, which will contribute to make a brighter day for someone else.

APN and ATICO – Fakhreldin Group Support Food Security in the Jordan Valley

On Friday, 29/09/2017, APN’s Green Caravan set out to plant 250 citrus trees in Al-Kraimeh in the central Jordan Valley. The trees were donated by ATICO – Fakhreldin group and were planted by a group of 60 volunteers that included ATICO’s employees and students from the Ahilyyah School and the Bishop’s School. ATICO Fakhreldin Group honors Amman Municipality Workers

ATICO Fakhreldin Group continues its strong social responsibility and solid collaboration with the public sector and various organizations with its yearly contribution and commitment during several occasions. This year, ATICO Fakhreldin Group, grabbed the opportunity to host an Iftar for the Municipality workers, which was held at “ Kebab Express Sweifieh” during the last week of the Holy month of Ramadan. This special Iftar celebrated the importance of the Workers’ jobs and their great efforts to ensure that our City is kept clean. Heads of Departments and several ATICO Fakhreldin Group staff and team members attended the Iftar and were glad to share this special Iftar with the dedicated Workers. “Wish Tree” shines over ATICO Fakhreldin Group this Holiday Season for the second consecutive year, 2016

ATICO Fakhreldin Group is launching its yearly celebrations to rejoice the festive holiday season in all its outlets. Various activities at each outlet, with several great promotions were tailor made for this holiday season.

With the Christmas season, a time to make dreams come true, and due to the great success from last year, ATICO Fakhreldin Group is also launching its famous “Wish Tree” for the second consecutive year at AlQasr Metropole Hotel and at Fakhreldin, and adding two more ‘Wish Trees’ at Ren Chai and Yoshi for this year.

Each tree is filled with letters hand written by young boys and girls from the SOS Children’s Villages from Amman and Irbid, in addition to Aqaba, which has been included this year, with their hopes and wishes for Christmas. Generous customers pick an envelope and donate a certain amount in order to grant the Child’s hand written wish and help make a dream come true. ATICO Fakhreldin Group will in return make sure that Santa will deliver the gifts to the villages, with healthy meals from Kebab Express, and a day filled with fun activities.

The ‘Wish Trees’ bought together an opportunity for ATICO Fakhreldin Group to enhance its sense of corporate social responsibility and engage its loyal customers towards a worthwhile cause. It is the Group’s strong obligation towards the community that drives it to create and develop ideas to support and help various foundations.

Kebab Express Iftar Meals at Three Camps, Ramadan 2016

In line with its annual rital ATICO Fakhreldin Group and in collaboration with Royaana (a non-profit charitable organization), held three charitable Iftars for less fortunate orphans which took place at the following impoverished locations; Al Nasr Camp’s Orphanage on 18th June, Al Mahatah Camp’s Orphanage on 25th of June and Al Hashimi Orphanage Association on 2nd of July, 2016. ATICO Fakhriddin Group, with Kebab Express, strives to undertake community responsibilities towards underprivileged orphans and children from various camps because the smiles it puts on their faces makes it all the more worthwhile. Supportive staff members where there to extend a hand and they not only delivered the meals, broke their fast with the students but also handed out lovely gifts along with lots of candy bags. ATICO Fakhriddin Group is always ready and keen to continue its social responsibility aiming to cross bridges between the private sector and civil society institutions.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group participates in the “Clean Up the Dead Sea” initiative, 27th March 2016

Encouraged by CEO Mr. Essam Fakhriddin, members of ATICO Fakhreldin Group joined Amman Rotary Club Capital, to participate in their initiative “Help Keep Jordan Clean”. The team also supported the event by bringing along meals forapproximately 350 participants. The Amman Rotary Club Capital launched the second stage of the campaign by cleaning up the beaches of the Dead Sea, on Sunday the 27th of March at 10am. The meeting points for all participants were at various areas and times. All partakers and media personnel met at either 8.30am at the Palm Village, on the airport road or at 9.30am at Chili Ways before the Dead Sea security check point, before the hotel and conference center. The initiative was launched as the President of The Rotary International (a very prominent figure) visited Jordan. Its main aim is to support the community and to instill the culture of volunteer work. The campaign also proposes to increase the awareness of working to support tourism and preserve the environment, between both the private and public sectors. It is worth mentioning that the area chosen is one of the popular public areas were holiday seekers spend their weekends and it witnesses a large amount of environmentally hazardous waste. The invitation was open to everyone and transport from Amman to the Dead Sea and back was provided on the day.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group and Dr. Ahmed Emara join hands in a Motivational Lecture, 2015

Dr. Emara, acclaimed Mental Health Consultant in Bioenergy, is back in Jordan for a four-day workshop, at AlQasr Metropole Hotel. During his time, Dr. Emara gave a complimentary lecture, in collaboration with Ru’yana and Ruwwad Associations. The attendees, around 80, were a group of promising Jordanian youth from Tafila, Jabal Al Natheef, and Gaza and Souf Refugee Camps. The lecture aimed to help the youth tackle the hardships of their lives through positive thinking, enlightenment and faith. ATICO Fakhreldin Group organized the lecture and hosted a luncheon at The Qyard.

Ru’yana is a Jordanian NGO dedicated to sustainable empowerment of marginalized communities through small interest-free loans, education scholarships, training, social business ventures, and spirit of brotherhood.

Kebab Express donates Iftar meals to orphans, 2014

This year, ATICO Fakhreldin Group, in collaboration with Royaana, anon-profit charitable organization operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Development, held three charitable Iftars for less fortunate orphans which took place at the following impoverished locations; Al Nasr Camp, Al Hussien Camp and Al Hiteen Camp.

The 100 meals, for each camp, consisted of Kebab Express’ Ramadan Meal and a soft drink. When the meal was over, the enthusiastic children were ready to show off their talents with very interesting performances.

ATICO Fakhreldin staff, who attended this event, gave out the school bags and a bag full of delicious treats that were handed out to the children before they went back home.

Health and nutrition awareness workshop; Fighting Cancer From Your Kitchen, 2013

As part of ATICO Fakhreldin Group health awareness campaign and in collaboration with One with Nature, Ms. Helen Batmany Makdah, Nutrition and Dietetics specialist, held a lecture titled “Fighting Cancer From Your Kitchen”.

The lecture covered food items involved in fighting cancer, with live demonstrations from ATICO Fakhreldin Group’s talented Sushi Chef, Chef Michael. Fakhr-El Din Restaurant also presented fresh dishes to showcase the importance of healthy choices. The lecture highlighted the importance of seaweed, Miso Soup and raw fish amongst other healthy ingredients.

It was a huge success and the attendees enjoyed delicious selections from The Group’s various kitchens.

A team of 21 Jordanians leave for Nepal, to raise awareness of Jordan’s fight against cancer, at the highest camp-site in the world, which sits at an altitude of approx 5,300m.

The objective of this trek is to raise funds for the King Hussein Cancer Centre’s much-needed expansion project, currently under-way.

With many people suffering the ravages of cancer, and figures estimated to increase over the coming decade, the team intends to embrace this challenge by trekking in the Himalayas.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Education Program Partnership 2013

ATICO Fakhreldin Group, partners with “Under my Olive Tree”, non- profit organization, and adopts and supports the education of a student. This highly effective and excellent initiative program, will take place in four phases. Phase one, supports the student with his university fees. Phase two, the student will get a chance to work part time during the summer by interning within The Group. Phase three, The Group will support the student with workshops or courses to allow him to develop and enhance his education and last but not least, the student during Phase four, will in turn give back to his community and will get a chance to volunteer in various fields on a yearly basis.

ATICO – Fakhreldin Group supports Maaúd Al Rahman Tent for Orphans, Ramadan 2012

ATICO – Fakhreldin Group spreads its Corporate Social Responsibility this year to 300 orphans, from various orphanages and centers from all over Jordan, in collaboration with Under my Olive Tree and IBDDA, non-profit organizations. The Orphans were provided with meals from Kebab Express and there was lots of entertainment, gifts, sweets for everyone after the Iftar. The event was a true success and in line with the strong responsibility of ATICO – Fakhreldin Group to embrace the company’s deeds, in order to encourage a positive impact through its activities on local communities.

Kebab Express Supports Operation Smile Jordan (OSJ), December 11th, 2012

OSJ is part of Operation Smile International, a non-profit Charity dedicated to help Jordanian and Arab children who suffer from cleft lips, cleft palates and burns. Their mission is to mobilize a world of generous hearts, to help heal children’s smiles and transform lives across the globe. On December 11th2012, OSJ, at Prince Hussein Bin Abdalla Hospital – Al Baq’a/Ein Basha, a combined number of professional medical volunteers from the US, Europe and local medical teams came together to donate their time and expertise to provide reconstructive surgeries to more than 80 children, who suffer from various facial deformities in Jordan and Palestine. Kebab Express participated at the event by providing 120 meals with beverages to all medical and non-medical volunteers who generously help during the event. It was a worthwhile cause that helps support Jordanian and Palestinian children that deserve the medical support they were given.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Sponsors Welfare Association Cycling for Palestine – Give to Gaza Event, 2012

Welfare Association for Youth (WAY), and The Jerusalem Forum organized a Cycling for Palestine – Give to Gaza event on Friday December 14th 2012. This event brought together 200 cyclists from all over Jordan to put on their cycling gear and bike 15 kilometers in the Dead Sea while raising money for 3 selected WA projects in Gaza. The project supported this year is called the Mustaqbali Program, which aims at meeting the needs of 1804 Palestinian children who were orphaned or lost their primary income-earning parent during the Israeli war on Gaza between December 2008 and January 2009. The program’s 3 supported projects are: Empowering widowed mothers in Gaza, supporting the right to safe education and psycho-social support to the children of Gaza and non-curriculum activities and promotion of orphaned children special talents and skills. Following the event, cyclists and other visitors had a lunch where they were engaged through a presentation about the work of WAY and the WA, with a raffle draw for various prizes. The Group also provided vouchers from Bistro One and Trattoria restaurants.

Kebab Express Iftar to Dar Al Aman Centre for Child Abuse, Ramadan 2011

Kebab Express strives to engage in special opportunities that help enliven the lives of young ones yearly and especially during the Holy Month of Ramadan, 2011. The donations were collected from the revenues of Alqasr Metropole Hotel, Fakhreldin Restaurant, Ren Chai, Yoshi, Trattoria, The Qyard, Wild Jordan Café, Fakhreldin & Co and Kebab Express during the month of Ramadan.ATICO is recognized as a provider of first-rate personalized hospitality services group. It has been able to satisfy the needs and tastes of a wide range of customers, and has secured a position as the leading local hospitality management group in Jordan. “We are pleased that our donations this year will help these organizations to achieve their goals in creating a better environment for their beneficiaries. ATICO – Fakhreldin Group sponsors awareness pamphlet, 2010

ATICO – Fakhreldin Group sponsored the Personal Project of a Grade 10 student, at the Amman Baccalaureate School, March 2010. The pamphlet aimed to present the impoverished state of the Gaza Refugee Camp, in Jerash. It depicted the poor state of the camp and showcased facts, pictures and methods of reaching out to the Camp. The pamphlet was a huge success and generated a lot of interest from various individuals and foreign communities.

AlQasr Metropole Hotel donates 10% of its Ramadan revenues to PACES Charity in Palestine & SOS Charity in Jordan, 2009

As part of its yearly ritual, Alqasr Metropole hotel has donated 10% of this years Ramadan revenues to two charities; PACES which helps underprivileged children in refugee camps in Palestine to excel in sports like football and basketball, and SOS Children’s Village Association of Jordan which cares for 345 Jordanian orphaned and abandoned children, in three Villages and seven Youth Houses in Amman, Aqaba, and Irbid.

ATICO Fakhreldin Group Contributes to the Tastings for Gift of Life, 2009

ATICO Fakhreldin Group extended its outreach in the corporate social responsibility by taking part in the “Tasting for Gift of Life” event, organized by “Gift of Life Charitable Society in Amman” (GOLA) in June 2009, at the Jordan National Gallery Gardens in Jabal Webdeh, through its Kebab Express and Fakhreldin & Co. outlets. The event helped raise money to finance vitally necessary heart surgery for Ahmad Ramadan, a 7 month old Egyptian baby living in a refugee camp in Jordan.

ATICO FAKHRELDIN GROUP DONATES 5% OF KEBAB EXPRESS REVENUES TO GAZA RELIEF FUND SUPPORTED BY THE JORDAN RIVER FOUNDATION, 2008

As part of its dedication to its corporate social responsibility, ATICO Fakhreldin Group represented by its Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, Ms. Abeer Fakhreldin donated 5% of its monthly revenues to the Gaza Relief campaign, in collaboration with the Jordan River Foundation. The campaign was an immediate initiative that sparked the concern of both organizations. The support aimed to help the people of war stricken Gaza, after the 3 week escalated conflict which took place during the winter of 2008-2009.

ATICO sponsors ‘Save a Life’ Bookmark, 2007

In line with ATICO’s responsibility to serve the community, ATICO sponsored the Personal Project of Grade 10 Students, at the Amman Baccalaureate School. The Personal Project is the final project, based on the student’s personal interests and talents, which demonstrates the skills they developed over the years, through their Approaches to Learning (ATL). This particular project captured the interest of ATICO and was immediately adopted. ATICO gave away the Save a Life book marks to all its clients, and found that the invaluable information could indeed prevent chocking and could save a life, by following the Heimlich Maneuver

ATICO – FAKHRELDIN GROUP contribution to CSR, Ramadan 2007

ATICO – FAKHRELDIN GROUP has fulfilled its strong belief, in a string of obligations, based on a passionate commitment to contribute to its strong sense of responsibility to the service of the community with donations to various charitable organizations in the Kingdom and Palestine. ATICO adopted last year a rewarding food program run by Tikyat Um Ali, which was immensely successful. After a field study, a difference was noted by the children, whose height and weight had noticeably changed and their school attendance reached 100%.

And by this, the company has enthusiastically renewed its support contract, by which they will continue supporting the food program at Al Thaniey Co-education Elementary School, which Tikyat Um Ali has implemented in correlation with the Ministry of Education and the Special Forces in Al Karak.

The program aims to provide a nutritious meal to each child at the school, in the impoverished area of the Kingdom. Through this program ATICO (Fakhreldin Group) has donated 10% of its revenue from the Ramadan nights to support the emergency aid by its health and cultural support.

Part of the Ramadan revenues will also be donated to construct a special children’s surgical unit in Al Awdah Hospital in the Gaza strip, through the Welfare Association. The rest of the donation will go to Al Itihad Woman’s Hospital, in the West Bank (Nablus), to provide the hospital with the necessary medical equipment, which is of dire importance, through the Zakah committee which belongs to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs.

ATICO has also supported the Haya Institute, Marka, and organized a Ramadan iftar for around 200 orphans and less fortunate children, in the area. AlQasr Touristic Investment Company (ATICO – Fakhreldin Group) was establishment in 1992 and since then has specialized in investing and operating in the hospitality sector in Jordan and the Middle East.

ATICO Rejoins the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in its fight against Cancer, 2007

AMMAN – ATICO Fakhreldin Group continues to support the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) in its fight against cancer, by renewing its contract and becoming a member of KHCF’s ‘Restaurants Care Program’ until this day. ATICO outlets had previously joined the program in January 2006. As supporters of the program, ATICO helped connect the King Hussein Cancer Foundation with its clientele, by inviting their customers to add an optional JD 1 to their bill. Since ATICO’s outlets joined the RCP, it has successfully been able to accumulate a considerable donation of JD 30,000.

Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin, Marketing & Public Relations Manager of ATICO, visited the King Hussein Cancer Center on January 23rd, 2007, to ascertain the progress and achievements of the Center. HRH Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the Foundation, thanked ATICO outlets on behalf of the patients and acknowledged its decision to rejoin the program, which facilitates a link between conscious ATICO customers and the KHCF. HRH Princess Dina, also expressed her appreciation for the generosity of ATICO customers, adding that every JD raised makes a difference to the patients, who are currently undergoing various treatments at the Center.

Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin added: “It is with great pleasure that we at ATICO have an opportunity to be affiliated with the KHCF and the RCP, which has truly been a success. It has been a fruitful attempt which was both welcomed and supported by our loyal customers. ATICO, the owner of Alqasr Metropole Hotel, presented to Dr. Atallah Shafiq Kuttab, Director General of the Welfare Association, US$20,000 representing 10% of revenues of the 2007 Ramadan Nights at Alqasr Metropole Plaza.

ATICO adopted a rewarding food program run by Tikyat Um Ali, which was immensely successful. After a field study, a difference was noted by the children, whose height and weight had noticeably changed and their school attendance reached 100%. And by this, the company has enthusiastically renewed its support contract, by which they will continue supporting the food program at Al Thaniey Co-education Elementary School, which Tikyat Um Ali has implemented in correlation with the Ministry of Education and the Special Forces in Al Karak. The program aims to provide a nutritious meal to each child at the school, in the impoverished area of the Kingdom

Miss Abeer Fakhriddin, the Marketing & Public Relation Manager at Alqasr Touristic Investment Company – ATICO the owner of Alqasr Howard Johnson Hotel, has presented Dr. Adnan Soghaier, senior adviser, Resource Development at the Welfare Association, with a cheque amounting to US $ 20,000 which represents 10% of revenues of this years Ramadan Nights at Alqasr Howard Johnson Plaza.

The sum of money will be dedicated to establish a Children Unit at the General Hospital in Beit Hanoon, Gaza strip. The wounded children of Beit Hanoon which was subjected recently to the occupation forces atrocities suffered drastically due to absence of a special unit at the hospital to cater far their needs.

This contribution comes as a continuation of many donations Alqasr Howard Johnson has presented in previous years to various charity organizations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to support emergency requirements, cultural and health activities.

ATICO Rejoins the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in its Fight Against Cancer, 2006

ATICO – Fakhreldin Group supports the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) in its fight against cancer by becoming the first member of KHCF’s ‘Restaurants Care Program’ since 2006 until this day. As partners of this program, ATICO helped connect the King Hussein Cancer Foundation with its supporters in the fight against cancer, by inviting their customers to add an optional JD 1 to their bill.

ATICO and Tikiyat Um Ali sign an agreement for the food program at a public school in Karak, 2006

Mr. Ihab Al Deeb the general manager of Tikiyat Um Ali, and Mr. Essam Fakhriddin CEO of the ATICO group signed an agreement, to be part of the food program at a mixed public school in Al Karak, consisting of 108 students. This program is part of the nutrition program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Jordanian Armed Forces. The program aims to secure meals with beneficial nutritional elements to schools in poverty stricken regions in the Kingdom. Needy students have a chance to eat proper meals which will ultimately help raise not only their morals but also their educational competency. This program was welcomed by the ATICO group since it’s a keen advocate of helping the community and has been a supporter of several other programs which highlight the importance of its social responsibilities.

The sum of money will be dedicated to the development of the cultural, recreational and support services hall of the society for handicapped care in the Gaza strip – Rimal district.
