Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our pastry chefs in all aspects of pastry production, from preparation to presentation. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections.
- Measuring and assembling ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
- Operating and maintaining pastry equipment and tools.
- Decorating and plating desserts with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Supporting the pastry team in daily tasks and operations.
- Following instructions from senior pastry chefs and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pastry or bakery setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and terminology.
- Passion for pastry arts and eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is a plus.
