We asked Mr. Tafesh a few questions to get a better understanding of the Catering Department.
What’s your favorite part of working in Catering?
My favorite part is when we meet with the guests to listen to their inquiries, and customize each event to accommodate their needs and desired occasions. It’s really unique how we change from one event to another, going from casual to formal to corporate and sometimes a fun fair for the little ones.
Why is catering so important?
I believe that our guest are really appreciative of the hospitality we are offering that they need it in their private homes and private venues, and it so great that we can reach out anytime anywhere. On the corporate level, catering opens opportunities for us to raise awareness about our different cuisines and outlets let people taste and experience it.
Tell us about a successful event that pleased you the most.
It was a wedding for a young German & Jordanian couple and they picked Wild Jordan Center as their venue. They chose ‘olives’ as a theme. It was amazing how we were able to incorporate olives in everything… food, drink, decor. By the end of it everybody was really very happy.
What are the challenges of your department?
We made an oath to keep up with our values and standards and it’s crucial not only to meet guests’ satisfaction but exceed it. In every event and occasion, we make sure our guests leave feeling happy and very satisfied every time. To be able to do that, we have to be up to date with the latest trends, venue setup, food setup, service styles and even famous movie character or a cartoon. Simply be well informed and conscious of anything our guests might ask for.
How would you like to see the Catering Department grow?
Currently we are working on providing a private venue to accommodate our banquets, also a show room of all tools, Chinaware, centerpieces and service equipment.
We will
also train sales people to receive our guests and systemize our banquet orders.
